Oh man….today is my big TV debut!!!!! Ashlee and I have been asked to do a segment on the CW 6 morning news each Thursday. Each week we will be talking about the cool things going on in San Diego. I will focus on the family friendly stuff and Ashlee will talk about the younger nightlife stuff. I have been really nervous about it cause I haven't really been on TV before. I've done a few little promotional things over the years talking about radio station stuff, but nothing like this. They are putting us on TV each week…….what are they thinking????? The cool thing is that Ashlee has done a bunch of TV stuff at this point and she totally has my back. I've decided to get out of my own head and just have fun with it. Fingers crossed. We are going to be on in the 8 hour this morning on the CW 6.
I have decided to go on record as saying I am a fan of the TV show Master Chef. The hubby and I aren't very good in the kitchen but we did go through a phase a few years back where we watched a ton of Food Network. During that time we also tried watching Chef Ramsey's Hell's Kitchen. I wanted to like the show but I just couldn't deal with all the stress and yelling. I was a waitress for many years and worked with a**hole chefs who would treat everyone else like they were beneath them. The way some of these chefs would talk to people is unreal. We have also over the years tried to watch Kitchen Nightmares. That one is not as bad but still filled with stress and yelling. So when I saw that Chef Ramsey's show Master Chef was coming on I figured again I was going to not like it. But since we don't have cable and only get so many channels I figured I would give it a shot. I really like Master Chef. I was blown away to see that out of the 3 chef judges, Chef Ramsey is not the mean one. There is some bald little dude who is the mean one. And he just makes not nice, but probably honest, remarks about the peoples food. No yelling, no screaming cuss words at people….love it!
I am off tomorrow, but the rest of The Show will still be here. Going up North for a long weekend to spend time with the in-laws. I'm sure I'll have a bunch of stories and pictures for you on Monday.
