Nightmare morning. I randomly wake up about a half an hour before my alarm goes off and look at my alarm clock. As I am checking it, it goes off. WTF? As I figure out I'm not dreaming, I realize I woke up at the exact time my power went off. Crazy! What are the odds? But now I come to the realization that if the power doesn't come back on, I'm gonna have to get ready in the dark. I take a shower every morning to wake myself up too. How am I going to do that? It is pitch black in my house. So I make my way downstairs and grab a flashlight and head to the garage. I have my camping lantern in there. I find it and go to turn it on and...nothing. Batteries are dead. So now I look around the house for some candles. I find a couple and bring them back upstairs and prepare for my shower by candlelight. Romantic. Not so much. I had just enough light to wash my important parts and move on. Then I got ready by candlelight. I think I combed my hair properly. Not really sure. So I finish getting dressed and head out to leave and realize the garage door is not gonna work. So In have to open it manually, which is fun at 4am. Looking around my neighborhood, it was like a scene from some apocalyptic movie. No light whatsoever. It was really creepy driving down the street. I was looking for zombies or mutant attackers. Luckily I survived. Fun morning.
It is time for my final Marvel vintage calendar picture. December might be the best yet. It's from the X-Men. Check out that sweet skirt Jean has on! Pretty racy for the 60s.
What a Thanksgiving break. Not a break at all really. When you have 2 little ones and decide to drive up north to the Bay Area for Thanksgiving, it can be rough. We left Wednesday knowing this would be an interesting 8 hour car drive. I didn't fly because it can almost be tougher with the two little ones, so we decided to drive. It is a constant battle to keep them entertained. Coloring books, toys, snacks, movies, etc. But we made it there in one piece. We also decided to stay at a motel instead of crashing with my family. Jack is not a great sleeper still, so I didn't want to subject them to that. We were in a small town, so there was no Ritz to stay at. We ended up in a tiny motel that was something else. Every room had a theme, like the Western room or the Jungle room. We got the Spring Time room. Not a lot of amenities at this place. The towels were ones you would buy at Ross. There was no bar soap, but if you wanted to wash yourself with liquid soap, there was that for you. The TV didn't have a remote. Stuff like that. I didn't mind it so much, but the beds were a bit of an issue. There were 2 full size beds. I was all over the place. I had to share a bed with the wife until Jack decided to wake up the neighborhood and crash with Debra. So I would move over with Taylor, who is a crazy sleeper too. She moves a lot. I had about 4 inches of bed most of the nights. Not fun. But we had a good visit with my family and had a perfect Thanksgiving. Good food, family and football all day. Perfect. The best part of the drive was listening to Christmas music the whole way. I found a holiday channel on satellite and listened to it the entire drive home. Loved it. I am in full blown Christmas spirit now.
Got home on Saturday so I could do the Chargers game. Boy that was fun. I know a lot of people missed it since it was black out. You didn't miss much. The Chargers defensive line was blown off the ball like the were a JV team taking on full grown men. It was hard to watch. But again, they had their chances. For some reason, Antonio Gates had butterfingers and fumbled twice. Very costly. Keenan Allen also had a fumble. Can't give the ball up and expect to win. Sucks. I was hoping for a better performance after beating KC. But it seems typical of this team to win a big game and have a let down. Now they probably have to win out if they want to make they playoffs. Oh and Denver is on the schedule.
Great season finale of the Walking Dead last night. No spoilers, but it was an epic showdown between the Governor and Rick. So good!
The ending to the Alabama-Auburn game was an instant classic. Maybe only behind the Stanford-Cal band on the field ending. I would but the Flutie Hail Mary up there too. This one was huge because of the title implications. What a scene!
Big day today. Hopefully you can swing by the radio station and drop off some stuff. We are doing the charity fundraiser this morning to help the typhoon victims in the Philippians. Come down, drop off some gently used clothes or any of the other items they need and meet some kick ass UFC fighters. Brandon Vera, Phil Davis, Jeremy Stephens, Chris Leben, Joey Beltran and more. I really want to help these people who have nothing right now. Hopefully you can swing by and thank you if you do!
Can Jennifer Lawrence stop talking about poop? I really like her, but man she talks about crap a lot. I have heard her in multiple interviews says she has crapped her pants and popping. I get that she is a real person, but she is also a hot actress. So gross. By the way Jen, not a fan of the pixie cut either. Sorry.
I am a big fan of Miss Supercross. We have given out a date with her the past couple of years. She is freakin gorgeous. She just put this video out and I hear they are coming back to San Diego soon. Can you imagine winning a date with this hot chick?
Oh yes, this is happening. I found another mullet Eddie picture. We used to have season tickets for the 49ers back in the day. We would always tailgate. So this is me circa 1989, in full mullet. The mullet always looks better with a hat too. Enjoy!
