I had been saying all week after the Chargers loss on Monday night that things were ok. This was a different Chargers team than the one we got used to under Norv. But I had a ton of fans tell me, same ol' Chargers Eddie. Same ol' Phillip Rivers. They suck. I said to them, then you weren't paying attention on Monday night. This team played with a different sense of urgency. I liked just about everything they did but lose the game. So coming into yesterday's game against the Eagles, I said on the air and to anyone who would listen that they were going to win the game. I like the Eagles new offense, but they have no defense. So if it was a shootout, I liked the Chargers in the game. I predicted on the pregame show the final score would be Chargers 35 Eagles 31. The final score was Chargers 33 Eagles 30. Not bad. It was driving me nuts the talking heads and so called experts talking about this game. It was as if the Chargers shouldn't have even showed up. Every single expert on the pregame shows picked Philly. What? That just tells me they didn't bother to even watch the game Monday night. They just went off the highlights and the final score. Same ol' Chargers. Not so fast my friends. It is amazing how slanted these broadcasts are. There is a huge East coast bias. At halftime, the Chargers were leading and all CBS talked about were the Eagles. After the game, NBC showed mostly Eagles highlights. Huh? Don't they know who won? Baffling. This team is better. They will show it over the course of the season. It was a big win for this team moving forward.
