What is iLASIK?
iLASIK is a two laser method of LASIK which is the result of a decade worth of refinements. iLASIK is the latest proven state of the art LASIK. It utilizes the Intralase laser to very precisely create the thin flap and the VISX Star S4 laser with iris registration to perform vision correction procedure that is customized just for your eyes! Customization enables almost everyone to achieve 20/20 or better vision!

How do I know if I am a candidate for Lasik surgery?
Candidates for LASIK should have nearsightedness, farsightedness, and/or astigmatism. It is also important that you have a stable prescription for the past year, healthy eyes and be 18 years or older. What are the major obstacles preventing people from having laser correction eye surgery?
There are a few major obstacles that prevent people from having LASIK, fear, pain and cost. Most people are fearful that their vision will be worse or that they will lose sight. The good news is that with the custom treatments, the vast majority of patients achieve 20/20 or better vision.
With LASIK, patients feel their eyes are watery or scratchy for a few hours after the procedure. We encourage patients to sleep. When they wake up, a few hours later, the sensitivity is better and vision is already improving. With PRK, patients feel their eyes are light sensitive, watery and have a foreign body sensation for a few days after their procedure. They are given lots of medicines to reduce the discomfort and are encouraged to take vitamin C to the help the healing.
